In New York State the Assembly has passed legislation for same sex marriage. Gov. Patterson says he will sign the bill. It is being held up in the New York State Senate. Senate Majority Leader Malcom Smith says he will bring it to a vote if he is sure it will pass with 32 votes.
The New York Senate will adjorn at the end of June. This bill must be voted on before then.
Email, write, call you New York State Senator to let him/her know that you want him/her to support the same sex marriage legislation. Social justice demands it. Let's end the discrimination. Contact your New York State Senator today.
