Does the architecture on college campuses make young people cynical?

I have been a fan of James Howard Kunstler for some years now.

More recently I have been listening to his podcast every week.

This week he talks about the architecture on college campuses. Living and growing up in the village where Jim went to college made it even more interesting for me.

Of special interest are his ideas about how architecture and street scapes affect human mood, attitude, behavior. He says at one point in this podcast that the shitty architecture of college campuses make young people cynical. I think he makes an interesting point.
