Corruption dressed up as corruption makes a country crazy

Moral leadership is important for the health of our American Democracy. During the Bush administration we have witnessed a real deterioration in virtue. The quality of virtue is no more important in any governmental position than the judiciary. How can the man who supported illegal torture in the Bush Admininstration breaking national, international law and the Geneva Conventions possibly be a credible federal court judge? Only a corrupt governemnt could nominate, appoint, and support this kind of a judicial appointment. Impeach Judge Jay Bybee the architect of Bush Administration torture policies.

It is corruption like this that makes a country crazy. The mental health of a nation rests on a solid moral foundation and the kind of moral judgements this man has made make him unfit to judge others.

Today, I am beginning a new series of articles on this blog tagged "moral intelligence." Only a morally intelligent people can be free and great and healthy.

This is article #1 in a series on moral intelligence.
