I went to a meeting last week on Thursday and Friday in New York City which was held by the company who sells the software that my agency uses for its billing, scheduling, and medical record. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that many of the people who are the software clinical managers in their agencies are Social Workers. I don't know what to make of this. They are people who have M.S.W.s and may have been clinicians at one time but who have moved over into managing the computer software applications.
I was thinking about the Myers-Briggs and thinking that these folks must be more Js than Ps.
I wonder if anyone else has any thoughts about this?
Burnout maybe? Seems like a bit of a cop-out as far as I see it.
