What is your level of awareness?

I am aware that you are not as aware as I am and this difference in awareness makes it difficult for us to communicate."

It is like telling a joke and the other person doesn't get it so you have to explain it to them. Sometimes even with the explanation, he still doesn't get it and so there is a breach in the rapport which cannot be developed because the two people are at two different levels of consciousness.

And so the person with more awareness must relate to the person with less awareness with understanding and compassion and not with condescension and manipulation.

A young person with and "old soul" is a young person with the high levels of awareness. Sometimes the opposite is observed when an old person thinks and behaves childishly, that is, she has little awareness.

Are you aware of how aware you are especially in relation to others?

Awareness leads to frustration at first and then when the recognition occurs that there is a gap, the person with more awareness has to drop the frustration and "rise above" the situation.

This rising above leads to loneliness at first and yet when one accepts the situation and "it is what it is" peace often fills the space.

It is said that one should not throw pearls before swine, and that you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. The joke is that the farmer was frustrated trying to teach his pig to sing and he sure annoyed the heck out of the pig.

When a person becomes aware that he is more aware than most people he relates to he must conduct himself in different ways. He must have different expectations for communication or he will be frustrated and disappointed.

The goal of life is increasing self awareness, growing in levels of consciousness until one is enlightened.

There are few enlightened beings walking on the earth, but there are some. They are worth seeking out and learning from.
