Olive Kitteridge

What greater tribute can you give an author than to think or say after reading his/her work, "I know these people."

I had this feeling after reading Elizabeth Strout's 2009 Pulitzer Prize winning book, Olive Kitteridge (See book carousel on side bar).

Olive Kitterage is a collection of character studies of the folks in Crosby, Maine and even more is a collection of studies of mature marital relationships. The 13 stories are loosely linked by some of the characters the prime character being Olive Kitteridge who is in her 60s and 70s and a retired middle school math teacher.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I recommend it highly to anyone, but especially to aspiring marital and family therapists.
