This came from the Winter, 2009 issue of YES! who got it from this Rand Corporation reseach report by Seth G. Jones and Martin C. Libicki:
% of 648 terrorists groups that ended between 1968 and 2006 because they entered into the political process = 43
% of terrorist groups taht ended through police work and intelligence gathering = 40
% of terrorist groups that ended due to military force = 7
Why didn't someone tell this to W and the neocons?
